In high school football Friday night, Sauk Centre won at home over Minnewaska 46-8. Sauk Centre led at halftime 24-8. Sauk Centre quarterback Damian Ahrens threw for 6 touchdowns, a new school record, 4 for Jay Neubert and 2 to Jeric Schloegl.
Sauk Centre plays at Albany next Friday.

The cross country teams copeted in Morris Monday. The Sauk Centre boys team took first place with a score of 41. Sauk Centre sophomre Jacob Drevlow won the boys race with a time of 17:23.

Football scrimmage                      8/26/23

The annual high school football scrimmage is coming up Saturday in Melrose starting at 9:00 am.
Football teams from Melrose, Sauk Centre, Holdingford, Montevideo, Minnewaska, Staples/Motley and St. Cloud Cathedral will be there.
The scrimmage is free of charge and is open to the public.
The Melrose football team plays their first game of the year Thursday 8/31 at Eden Valley Watkins.
