A win Saturday in the quarter finals has put the Sauk Centre girls basketball team into the semi finals of the Section 6AA tournament. Sauk Centre beat Eden Valley Watkins 62-45 at St. John's. Eden Valley Watkins led at the half 26-25. For Sauk Centre, Cierra Kortan with 22 points, Heidi Lieser with 19 on 5 threes, Jenna Gapinski Vogt 15.

The Melrose boys basketball team closed out the regular season with a win Saturday. Melrose won at Holdingford 59-48, Melrose led at the half 40-22. For Melrose, Gor Ruey 21, Connor Engelmeyer 18. The Prairie Centre boys hockey season came to an end Friday night in the Section 6A playoffs. Fergus Fall won at home 9-1 over Prairie Centre. Eli Fletcher scored for Prairie Centre with under a minute in the game and on his last shot as a Northstar. Fletcher ended up with 41 goals in his senior year and 153 in his career as the all time leading scorer for Prairie Centre. Here's coach Chad Werhman.
