A win for the Melrose volleyball team in their first match of the year. Melrose won at home over Montevideo 3-0, 25-9, 25-11, 25-11.
Melrose plays at home Thursday vs Benson.

The cross country teams copeted in Morris Monday. The Sauk Centre boys team took first place with a score of 41. Sauk Centre sophomre Jacob Drevlow won the boys race with a time of 17:23.

Football scrimmage                      8/26/23

The annual high school football scrimmage is coming up Saturday in Melrose starting at 9:00 am.
Football teams from Melrose, Sauk Centre, Holdingford, Montevideo, Minnewaska, Staples/Motley and St. Cloud Cathedral will be there.
The scrimmage is free of charge and is open to the public.
The Melrose football team plays their first game of the year Thursday 8/31 at Eden Valley Watkins.

In the Region 16C amateur baseball tournament Sunday, the Sauk Centre Titans defeated Kensington 12-1 in 7 innings. Sauk Centre will play again next Saturday at about 8:00 against Fergus Falls in Breckenridge. Fergus Falls beat Alexandria 10-2.

Sauk Centre Titans                    7/30/23

The Sauk Centre Titans will begin play in the Region 16C amateur baseball tournament. Sauk Centre will play Sunday at about 4:00 vs Kensington. The game between Kensington and Dent resulted in a forfeit for Dent.
The 16 C tournament will be played at the Breckenridge high school baseball field. MIDMNSPORTS will broadcast the Sauk Centre game Sunday.

Baseball                                                             7/22/23

The Sauk Centre Titans closed out the regular season with a 13-9 win at Kensington Saturday afternoon. The Titans will play in the Region 16C tournament next weekend. The tournament bracket will come out Sunday night.

In the Stearns County League playoffs Saturday, Elrosa beat Greenwald 12-3. It was Spring Hill beating New Munich 10-3.
In games Sunday, Elrosa will play Spring Hill at noon, Greenwald will play New Munich in the second game. Both games will be played at New Munich.
MIDMNSPORTS will broadcast both games on Sunday.

SC softball                                  7/19/23

The Sauk Centre 17u softball team wrapped up their summer season with a split at Upsala Wednesday. Sauk Centre won the first game 11-3 behind the pitching of Jenna Riley. Upsala took the 2nd game 18-4.
The 17u Sauk Centre team finished at 5-3 on the summer.

Another State Championship for Brandon Kampsen. This time in the 800 with 153.56. Broke his own school record.
Sauk Centre's Brandon Kampsen is the State Champion in the 1600. Kampsen had a first place time of 4:18.50. New school record time.

Sauk Centre's Brandon Kampsen took first place in his heat in the 800 at the State meet 1:57.15. Kampsen will run in the finals Friday.
The Sauk Centre boys 4x400 relay team placed 9th in their heat 3:36.02 at the State meet.

The State track and field meet begins Thursday at St. Michael-Albertville high school. Sauk Centre will have several athletes competing in the Class A meet. Here's all the information on the State meet, click here. Heat sheets and lane assignments. 
Competing at the State meet will be Brandon Kampsen in the 800 and 1600, Corey McCoy in the discus and the 4x400 relay team of Reese Blodin, Derick Sorenson, Nathan Lahr and Brandon Kampsen.
