It's a boys and girls basketball double header Friday night for the Sauk Centre basketball teams in the West Central Conference. The Sauk Centre boys will play first at 6:00 against BOLD. Two free throws by Lex Vesel with :05 left gave the Melrose girls basketball team a 62-61 win at home over Morris Thursday night. Morris led at the half 28-27.
Melrose had Shantel Gruber with 13 points, Lex Vesel and Grace Herdering with 12 each.

The Sauk Centre boys basketball team played a good game Tuesday at home and beat Minnewaska 63-46. Sauk Centre led at halftime 31-21.
Four players in double figures, Chad Herickhoff 20 points and 21 rebounds, Jacob Drevlow 14, Noah Borgerding and Jeric Schloegl 11 each.

The Melrose boys basketball team played at home against Montevideo. It was Montevideo winning the game 52-40. Montevideo led at the half 32-22.
Melrose had Brady Goihl and Sam Wehlage with 9 each, Nathan Welle and Teague Dusha 5 each.
