The Melrose girls basketball had a one point win at Osakis Tuesday night. Melrose won 48-47.
For Melrose: Avery Braegelmann with 17, Grace Herdering 11, Lex Vesel, Lexie Beste and Brook Welle 7 each.

The Sauk Centre girls basketball team traveled to Barnesville Tuesday night. Barnesville won the game 67-64.
Sauk Centre had Maddy Schuster with 22, Cierra Kortan, Tory Jennissen, Elly Herickhoff, Kahlen Suelflow and Paige Determan with 8 points a piece.

The Sauk Centre boys basketball team won at home over Benson 52-31.
Sauk Centre had Jacob Drevlow with 17 points, Noah Borgerding 14 and Chad Herickhoff 13.

It was Minnewaska winning at the Melrose gym 70-61.

Defenders girls 1/25/25

The Defenders girls wrestling team competed at the State Dual Championship Saturday.
The Defenders girls won the Consolation Championship.
In the first round of 16 teams, Pine City beat the Defenders 46-30, which put the Defenders in the consolation bracket.
The Defenders beat Hopkins 54-21 and Hutchinson 54-21.
The Defenders girls beat Brainerd 42-36 to win the Consolation Championship.
The Defenders had Monika Frericks, Kalli Schirmers and Krista Klasen go 4-0 in the four matches.

A good effort results in a win for the Sauk Centre boys basketball Friday night at home. Sauk Centre beat BOLD 56-43. Sauk Centre led at the half 33-18.
Sauk Centre had Chad Herickoff, Jacob Drevlow and Noah Borgerding with 12 each, Jeric Schloegl 9.

The Melrose boys basketball team had a 10 point lead at halftime but West Central came back to win 62-51. Melrose led 29-19 at the half.
