The annual high school football scrimmage is coming up Saturday in Melrose starting at 9:00 am.
Football teams from Melrose, Sauk Centre, Holdingford, Montevideo, Minnewaska, Staples/Motley and St. Cloud Cathedral will be there.
The scrimmage is free of charge and is open to the public.

In the Region 16C amateur baseball tournament Sunday, the Sauk Centre Titans defeated Kensington 12-1 in 7 innings. Sauk Centre will play again next Saturday at about 8:00 against Fergus Falls in Breckenridge. Fergus Falls beat Alexandria 10-2.

The Sauk Centre Titans will begin play in the Region 16C amateur baseball tournament. Sauk Centre will play Sunday at about 4:00 vs Kensington. The game between Kensington and Dent resulted in a forfeit for Dent.

The Sauk Centre Titans closed out the regular season with a 13-9 win at Kensington Saturday afternoon. The Titans will play in the Region 16C tournament next weekend. The tournament bracket will come out Sunday night.
In the Stearns County League playoffs Saturday, Elrosa beat Greenwald 12-3. It was Spring Hill beating New Munich 10-3.

The Sauk Centre track and field team competed at the Section 5A meet at St. John's Wednesday. The Sauk Centre boys team took first place. In the 800, Brandon Kampsen broke the school record and the Section meet record. Advancing to the State meet next week will be Kampsen in the 800 and 1600, Corey McCoy in the discus and the 4x400 relay team of Reese Blodin, Derick Sorenson, Nathan Lahr and Brandon Kampsen. Osakis had bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th, a ground ball was hit in the hole on the right side, Sauk Centre second baseman Neil Stadsvold got to the grounder and got the out to win the game.
