Defenders girls 1/25/25
The Defenders girls wrestling team competed at the State Dual Championship Saturday. The Defenders girls won the Consolation Championship. In the first round of 16 teams, Pine City beat the Defenders 46-30, which put the Defenders in the consolation bracket. The Defenders beat Hopkins 54-21 and Hutchinson 54-21. The Defenders girls beat Brainerd 42-36 to win the Consolation Championship. The Defenders had Monika Frericks, Kalli Schirmers and Krista Klasen go 4-0 in the four matches. Defenders results.
