It's a boys and girls basketball double header Friday night for the Sauk Centre basketball teams in the West Central Conference. The Sauk Centre boys will play first at 6:00 against BOLD. The Sauk Centre girls will play BOLD at 7:15. There will also be a boys JV game at 4:30. All 3 games in the senior high gym will be broadcast on MIDMNSPORTS. Two free throws by Lex Vesel with :05 left gave the Melrose girls basketball team a 62-61 win at home over Morris Thursday night. Morris led at the half 28-27.
Melrose had Shantel Gruber with 13 points, Lex Vesel and Grace Herdering with 12 each.
