Printed programs 3/8/23

Many fans that go to games like to have a printed program in their hands to look at a team's roster. But many venues are having you scan the roster on your phone. Some fans can't or don't do that. As time goes on, you are going to see more of that.
Here's how you can print off your own roster at home and bring it with you to the game.
For example... Sauk Centre girls basketball vs Albany Friday night.
Scroll down on MIDMNSPORTS and click on West Central Conference. Under "school activity calendar" click "Sauk Centre". Toward the top, click "rosters". Click on "basketball girls varsity". Click on "Sauk Centre". In the upper right, click print.
To get the Albany roster. Scroll down on MIDMNSPORTS and click on Granite Ridge Conference. At the top, click on "member school". To the right, under calendars, click on Albany. Toward the top, click on "roster" and go through the same steps as you did for the Sauk Centre roster.
This process can be done for any team and any sport by going to that school's activity calendar. If you have any questions, please email me at midmnsports@gmail.com.

Sauk Centre GBB 3/7/23

A strong second half gave Sauk Centre the win Tuesday night in the Section 6AA girls basketball playoffs. Sauk Centre beat Holdingford 66-50. Holdingford led at the half 32-30.
For Sauk Centre, Cierra Kortan 25 points on 5 threes, Jenna Gapinski Vogt 13,Tori Jennissen 12.
Sauk Centre will play for the Section championship Friday night at 7:00 against Albany at St. Cloud State.

A win Saturday in the quarter finals has put the Sauk Centre girls basketball team into the semi finals of the Section 6AA tournament.
Sauk Centre beat Eden Valley Watkins 62-45 at St. John's. Eden Valley Watkins led at the half 26-25.
For Sauk Centre, Cierra Kortan with 22 points, Heidi Lieser with 19 on 5 threes, Jenna Gapinski Vogt 15.

The Melrose boys basketball team closed out the regular season with a win Saturday. Melrose won at Holdingford 59-48, Melrose led at the half 40-22.

The Section 6AA boys seeding will come out Sunday morning. The boys playoffs begin Thursday.

Defenders wrestler Lanna Walter took third place at the State with a pin at 1:07.

In the semi final match, Lanna Walter was pinned in the third period and will wrestle for third place.

Sauk Centre/Melrose wrestler Jose De Los Santos lost his match 9-4 in the opening round Friday at the State wrestling tournament in Class AA #132.

The Sauk Centre girls basketball team will move to the quarter finals in the Section 6AA tournament after winning at home Thursday night over Mora 80-28. Sauk Centre led 50-12 at the half.

An overtime win for the Sauk Centre boys basketball team. Sauk Centre won at Osakis 70-67 in OT. Sauk Centre led at half time 27-26.

The Prairie Centre boys hockey season came to an end Friday night in the Section 6A playoffs. Fergus Fall won at home 9-1 over Prairie Centre. Eli Fletcher scored for Prairie Centre with under a minute in the game and on his last shot as a Northstar. Fletcher ended up with 41 goals in his senior year and 153 in his career as the all time leading scorer for Prairie Centre.

The Melrose girls basketball team picked up a win Friday night at home. Melrose beat Brandon/Evansville 45-42. Melrose had a half time lead 23-19.
