The Melrose softball team goes to 6-0 on the season with a come from behind win Thursday at home. Melrose beat West Central 6-3.
Trailing 3-0, Melrose scored 5 times in 4th inning and added 1 more in the 6th. Melrose pitcher Ellie Greive retired 10 straight batters to end the game.
Melrose will play at West Central Monday at 3:00 to complete their double header.

The Sauk Centre softball team swept the double header at Montevideo Thursday. Sauk Centre won both games in 5 innings, 12-2 and 13-1.

A non conference win at home to begin the season for the Melrose baseball team. Melrose beat Browerville 4-1.
For Melrose, Isaac Rosenberg knocked in the first run with a hit. Westin Middendorf gave Melrose the lead with a sac fly. Max Wehlage brought home the final 2 runs with a two out hit in the 6th.
Ryan Herdering started and got the win, pitching 3 innings. Max Wehlage threw 4 innings and struck out 10.
