The volleyball season begins Tuesday night. The Sauk Centre volleyball team will have a home match in the West Central Conference vs BOLD. The JV match starts at 5:45 with the varsity at about 7:15. Legion softball final Sunday: Melrose over Belview 2-1.
In the three games at the Legion State tournament, Melrose pitcher Kaitlyn Klasen struck out 41 batters. That sets a new Legion State tournament record. Klasen was named the pitcher of the tournament. The Melrose team was also given the Sportsmanship trophy for the tournament.

A good game for the Sauk Centre baseball team at Osakis on Friday, Sauk Centre won 4-3. That was the last game of the regular season, the playoffs start Tuesday.
