The Sauk Centre girls basketball team will move to the quarter finals in the Section 6AA tournament after winning at home Thursday night over Mora 80-28. Sauk Centre led 50-12 at the half.
Sauk Centre had Cierra Kortan with 34 points, Heidi Lieser 11.
Sauk Centre will play Eden Valley Watkins Saturday at St. John's at 5:30.

Fusion diver Andrue Stalboerger has qualified for the diving finals on Saturday by placing 14th in the prelims Thursday.

The Section 6AA girls basketball playoffs will begin Thursday night with first round games. The higher seeded team will play at home.

The Fusion boys swimming and diving team finished second at the Section 5A meet Saturday.

Sevrin set a new school record in the 100 breaststroke and Robischon a new record in the 200 IM.

Sauk Centre BBB 2/25/23

An overtime win for the Sauk Centre boys basketball team. Sauk Centre won at Osakis 70-67 in OT. Sauk Centre led at half time 27-26.
For Sauk Centre, Jay Neubert with 24, Andy Drevlow 21, Ethan Riley 10.

The Sauk Centre girls basketball defeated Wadena/Deer Creek 64-46 in Sauk Centre Saturday. The game was tied at 31-31 at the half.

The Prairie Centre boys hockey season came to an end Friday night in the Section 6A playoffs. Fergus Fall won at home 9-1 over Prairie Centre. Eli Fletcher scored for Prairie Centre with under a minute in the game and on his last shot as a Northstar. Fletcher ended up with 41 goals in his senior year and 153 in his career as the all time leading scorer for Prairie Centre.

The Melrose girls basketball team picked up a win Friday night at home. Melrose beat Brandon/Evansville 45-42. Melrose had a half time lead 23-19.
