Melrose had 13 hits, Allie Hoppe 3 hits, 2 doubles RBI, Ellie Grieve 3 hits, triple, 2 RBI, Celia Schoenberg 3 hits 2 RBI, Kaitlyn Klassen 2 hits, Shantel Gruber 2 hits 2 RBI.

The Sauk Centre softball team picked up a win at home over Osakis 6-0.
Sauk Centre pitcher Jenna Riley threw a 1 hitter with 12 K. Nadia Stadsvold had 2 hits 3 RBI, Bree Kirk with 2 hits and drove in a run. Peyton Borgman 3 hits, Gabi Marthaler, Sienna Klaphake and Megan Broich had a hit.

In a game that went back and forth, Holdingford scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to beat Sauk Centre 9-8.

The Sauk Centre baseball team split a double header at home Thursday. Sauk Centre won the first game over West Central 9-1. West Central took the second game 5-1.
In game 1, Sauk Centre had 12 hits. Hunter Broich 3, Evan Zales 2, Eli Warring 2, Mason Hokanson 2, Hunter Dickinson 1.

Every two years, the Minnesota State High School League determines Section placement. It's determined by like classification, member schools are placed by enrollment and geographic location in sports and activities where they compete for postseason play.

The Melrose boys golf team is getting some swings in before the season starts. The team will have co-head coaches this year with Jonathan Rouff and Chad Doetkott. Coach Doetkott had these comments on the team.

The Sauk Centre boys golf team is anxious to get out on the course and begin the season. Sauk Centre coach Tait Midthum has more on the team.

A big number of athletes are out for the Sauk Centre track and field team. Coaches Jim Metcalf and Kelli Wehrman can fill us in.

Sauk Centre athletic director Scott Bergman has announced that Charlie Warring will be the Sauk Centre head football coach next year. Coach Warring coached the Sauk Centre football team to the State tournament in 2022.

Here is some important ticketing information for Friday at SCSU.
NO cash ticket sales. All sales are electronic.
Each School has an allotment of lower level tickets. These are $10 - no matter student or adult. Any one wanting to be on the lower level will need one of these tickets. A note, the student standing sections will be on the lower level.
There are also general admission tickets for the upper level. These are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
But - again - anyone wanting to be on the lower level must purchase one of the lower level tickets from the allotment at $10 - student or adult.
