Melrose BBB

A tremendous first half for the Melrose boys basketball team Tuesday night at home with Minnewaska. Melrose led by 33 points at half time 47-14 and wound up winning 74-60.
Melrose goes to (5-0) in the West Central Conference and (10-1) overall.
Reegan Nelson 19, Preston Keaveny 16, Damon Van Beck 13, Traeton Keaveny 10.
Melrose plays at Holdingford (8-2) Thursday night.

Melrose GBB

Two straight non conference wins for the Melrose girls basketball team, Melrose played a good game and beat Osakis 60-51 at the Melrose gym.
Melrose is back in the WCC Friday night at BOLD.
A big night for Melrose sophomore Makiya Luetmer, 24 points in the first half and 33 in the game, Cassie Klaphake with 15 points and 2 threes.

Fusion swimming and diving

In boys swimming and diving Tuesday night, Park Rapids edged out Melrose Sauk Centre 94-92.
The meet was close throughout and came down to the last relay.  First place finishers included Dylan Fleischhacker in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke, Spencer Van Beck in the 500 Freestyle, and Brady Welberg in the 50 Freestyle.

SC BBB

It’s tough to win on the road and that was the case for the Suk Centre boys basketball team. Sauk Centre played at Morris Tuesday night. Morris won the game 50-37. Morris led at half time 28-16.
The Sauk Centre boys are home Thursday against Osakis.
It was a difficult scoring night for Sauk Centre, Cade Neubert topped the scoring with 9, Casey Schirmers 7, Steven Namvar 6, Jake Jennissen and Ryan Schirmers with 5 each.
