Melrose GBB

A well earned win for the Melrose girls basketball team Tuesday night, Melrose won at home over ACGC 55-50. Melrose is (1-2) overall and (1-1) in the West Central Conference. The Melrose girls play a non conference game at Upsala on Thursday.
Melrose got some key baskets late in the game from Makiya Luetmer and Whitney Austing. Luetmer led the scoring with 24 points, Austing had 11. Ashley Rademacher had 8 points and some big rebounds.
Melrose trailed by 1 at half 25-24.

Sauk Centre GBB

Two unbeaten teams squared off Tuesday night in Morris, the Sauk Centre girls basketball team came away with the win 73-42. Sauk Centre goes to (4-0) overall on the season. That’s the only game this week for the Sauk Centre girls.

The Prairie Centre girls hockey team traveled to Minneapolis Tuesday night. The Minneapolis team won the game 5-1, Gabby Olson scored the goal.

Sauk Centre BBB

A first game win for the Sauk Centre boys basketball team, Sauk Centre won at Belgrade Brooten Elrosa 43-37.
Sauk Centre led by 4 at half 19-15.
Two sophomores led the scoring for Sauk Centre, Casey Schirmers and Jake Jennissen had 12 each, Cade Neubert 10.

Melrose BBB

Trailing by 10 at half time, the Melrose boys basketball team came back and forced the game into overtime. Melrose won the game at Sartell in OT 74-69.
That was the first game of the year for Melrose, now they play at home on Friday against Benson and here on MIDMNSPORTS.
