Melrose volleyball

The Melrose volleyball team moves to (3-0) in the West Central Conference, Melrose had their second straight shut out win, this one at Benson 3-0. 25-7, 25-12, 27-25.
Melrose plays at a tournament in Pequot Lakes on Saturday.
Melrose had Mashaye Tschida lead in kills with 10, Mallori Funk 8 and Courtney Gerads and Kiana Wiechmann with 7 each. Makiya Luetmer with 33 set assists.

Sauk Centre volleyball

After getting beat in the second set at Montevideo, the Sauk Centre volleyball completely dominated the rest of the way and won at Montevideo 3-1. The win moves Sauk Centre to (3-0) in the West Central Conference. Sauk Centre plays at the Sauk Rapids tournament on Saturday.
The scores: 25-17, 23-25, 25-6, 25-8.
Sauk Centre had three players with 7 kills, Kenzie Schmiesing, Nicole Kortan and Julia Dammann. Megan Klaphake with 17 set assists and 5 ace serves.

Melrose girls swimming and diving

Melrose defeated Albany 68-34 Thursday night in girls swimming and diving.
First place individuals included Mikayla Von Wahlde (200 and 100 Free), Savana Bitz (200 IM), Makenzie Herzog (50 Free), Gracie Drossel (100 Fly), Leah Berscheit (100 Backstroke) and Madison Rosenberger (100 Breaststroke). Melrose also won all three relays.
